What data I process and why

I only process the data you send through the contact form: name, email, project type, the text of your enquiry and, if you provide them, your business name and current website. Along with the message I receive the IP address it was sent from and the date, which I use to detect automated submissions and abuse.

Purpose: to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to prepare a proposal or a quote. I don't use your data to send you advertising and I don't pass it to third parties for commercial purposes.

Legal basis

Your consent, given by ticking the box on the form (art. 6.1.a GDPR), and pre-contractual steps at your request when you ask for a quote (art. 6.1.b). You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to me; that doesn't affect processing carried out until then.

How long I keep it

If we don't end up working together, I keep the enquiry for at most twelve months from your last message and then delete it. If you hire a service, the data becomes part of the contractual relationship and is kept for its duration and for the periods required by tax and commercial law.

Who else has access to the data

Form messages arrive in my mailbox. For that, the website hosting provider (Hetzner Online GmbH, server in Germany, managed with Laravel Forge) and the email service provider (Amazon Web Services, SES service in the Frankfurt region) act as data processors under contract. There are no other recipients, except where legally required.

The website and the messages are hosted in and sent from the European Union (Germany). There are two situations outside it: the server is administered with Laravel Forge, a service by Laravel LLC (United States), covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses; and enquiries arrive in a Gmail mailbox (Google), whose exact location I cannot guarantee. There are no other transfers.

The “Check your website” tool

If you use the free check, my server downloads the public page you enter in order to analyse it and shows you the result immediately. Neither the address nor the result is stored. Your IP address is kept in the server’s memory for one hour, only to limit the number of checks per visitor, and is then discarded.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no first- or third-party cookies and no analytics or tracking tools. If I add any in the future, I'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Your rights

You can ask me for access to your data, rectify it, delete it, object to its processing, restrict it or request its portability by writing to jaumeperez.25.1995@gmail.com. I'll reply within one month. If you believe I haven't handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Security

The website is served over HTTPS and the form includes measures against automated submissions. Messages are stored only in my mailbox, protected with a password and two-step verification.

Changes to this policy

If I change anything relevant, I'll note it here with the update date.
